There is so much to do in our area

Vienne has so much to offer visitors. A clean and natural environment, fields of sunflowers and maize, pretty villages with traditional bars and Romanesque churches, and local market towns such as Civray at the heart of the region, Gencay and Poitiers, its capital city. Vienne also has a highly acclaimed architectural heritage and celebrates this in the summer with its 'Roman nights' spectacles around the region.

Three local major family attractions:

• Futuroscope -just outside Poitiers
• La Vallée des Singes (Valley of the Monkeys) - 400 metres away
• Chateau des Aigles (Eagles Castle) in the medieval town of Chauvigny.

Fishing, cycling, swimming, horse riding and recreational areas are all within easy reach to provide everyone with the holiday of their choice and just an hour's drive away are Cognac, Angouleme and Limoges, whilst the wonderful beaches of La Rochelle, Royan, and St. Palais sur Mer are just a couple of hours easy drive away.
